Aloe Vera 1000mg High Strength

Aloe Vera is a succulent plant with lance shaped fleshy leaves, which has been valued for its healing properties for over 6000 years. A gel containing a unique mix of vitamins, amino acids, enzymes and minerals can be squeezed from the leaves. The juice contains 20 amino acids, including 7 essential amino acids.

Aloe Vera may be taken internally (in capsule, juice or tablet form) or externally as a gel. Taken internally, Aloe Vera appears to boost immunity and is helpful for people with chronic fatigue syndrome and rheumatoid arthritis. It is also use for a variety of intestinal problems, including indigestion, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diverticulosis and for inflammatory conditions such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

Side effects:

Some women using aloe vera notice that it increases their menstrual flow, but no serious side effects have been reported.

Taking Aloe Vera by mouth should be avoided in pregnancy as the anthraquinones it may contain can stimulate uterine contractions, which could result in miscarriage.

Aloe Vera should be avoided when breast-feeding. If aloin enters the breast milk it can trigger stomach cramps and diarrhoea in infants.
